Full Of Smiles Amosun Says “I Don’t Need To Hide Under A Finger To Fight” On Oshiomhole’s Trouble With DSS

Governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Oyelaja Amosun says he doesn’t need to hide under a finger to fight when asked to comment on the travails of the national chairman of his party, Adams Oshiomhole in the hand of the Department of State Security Service (DSS).

Oshiomhole is reportedly in trouble with the DSS over allegations of improper conducts and receiving gratification to substitute candidates in the just conducted All Progressives Congress primary election.

Oshiomhole is accused of orchestrating the emergence of gubernatorial – and other -candidates in some states, including Ogun and Imo for material gains.

The party chairman was reportedly grilled for about nine hours over the allegations before he scampered abroad.

Before the DSS became involved in the allegations against Oshiomhole, the party chairman and the governors of Ogun state, Amosun and Imo state’s Rochas Okorocha were embroiled in a damning public spat.

The Ogun state governor accused Oshiomhole of success plotting the emergence of his adversary as the APC gubernatorial candidate in his state.

Okorocha has slammed the same allegation on Oshiomhole.

On his most recent visit to see President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Amosun was accosted by newsmen who sought his comments on the current travails of his party chairman.

Full of smiles Amosun insist he has no hand in the travails of Oshiomhole.

In multiple reports monitored by societynow.ng Amosun stated, “I think you are probably giving me an oversight role and I am not a security person, so clearly I think that question will not be for me. I don’t have to hide under a finger to fight. If there is need for me to put my views across, you know me by now that I will do it”.

Speaking on claims the party chairman scampered out of the country after his grilling by the DSS, the Ogun state governor offered “I have told you those things are beyond my pedigree and you are asking me questions that I am not well suited for. The one that I think I should talk about we have said it loud and clear that we don’t need to add any other thing.”

Commenting on his mission in Aso Rock in the thick of Oshiomhole’s travails Amosun disclosed ” I always come like this and I know that you will want to ask me this and that and that is what you are doing, but clearly and talking seriously, I think that all that need to be said, I think all of you can attest to that, that has been said loud and clear and I think saying anything further would amount to probably I’m sounding like a broken gramophone. I think I have said all that we need to say and we did it loud and clear.”
