Fuel Stations In Partial Closures, Delayed Reaction From Populace As Govt Officially Adopts N145 per Litre Pump Price For Petrol

Digs by soietynowng.com revealed there were partial closures by fuel stations as news filtered out the Government has officially adopted a N145 per litre bench mark for petrol.

Sources confirmed some stations closed shop while others limited sales of the products.

Few carried on business as usual.

Societynowng.com however confirmed those were selling below the adopted N145 per litre immediately jacked up the price.
‘’it was N120 in my area before then, it was immediately upped to N130 per litre when the announcement was made ‘’ a resident of Ota Ogun state told societynowng.com

A petrol station in Sango area was unlucky petrol price monitoring raided his station for selling at N140 just two hours before the announcement was made.

The queue in petrol stations selling at former official price of N86 immediately thinned out as the announcement was made and prices effected immediately in Igando and Egbeda area of Lagos states.

Sources in Alakuko area of Lagos made the same assertions.

Checks by societynowng.com online and offline showed a delayed reaction to the hike in official pump price petrol.

Societynowng.com learnt many would prefer it is available at the N145 per litre official benchmark price than agitate for a reduction that may come with no product to buy.

Emerging feelers however revealed despite this overall stance, rights activists not prepared to just let the development slide by.

‘’they are planning a protest against what is labelled deep impact unilateral move of the government with spiral effects that would increase expenses without corresponding increase in revenue and end up hurting a lot of homes ‘’ a source explained.
