“It’s All God’s Grace!” – BUA Group Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu Counts Blessings on Birthday

Africa’s billionaire industrialist and Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has attributed his life’s journey and achievements to God’s faithfulness as he marked his birthday with a message of gratitude, faith and hope.

Rabiu, one of Africa’s most influential businessmen, reflected on another year of life, saying the occasion was not just a celebration of his birthday but of “another year of God’s faithfulness.”

“I am grateful to the Almighty for the gift of life, for His grace that has sustained me, and for the countless blessings that continue to unfold in my journey,” he said, adding “Every experience, every lesson, and every achievement has been a testament to His goodness.”

The billionaire businessman also expressed appreciation to his family and friends for standing by him over the years.

“To my family and friends, thank you for your unwavering love, support, prayers, and encouragement. Your presence in my life is a blessing I never take for granted,” the king of commerce stated.

Looking ahead, Rabiu said he was embracing the new chapter of his life with optimism and renewed faith.

“As I step into this new year, I do so with gratitude in my heart, faith in my spirit, and hope for all that lies ahead. May this chapter be filled with greater purpose, joy, growth, and endless possibilities,” one of Nigeria’s biggest employers prayed.

He concluded: “Cheers to another year of grace, growth, and God’s endless blessings.”
Rabiu’s birthday message comes weeks after he was named CEO of the Year at the 2026 Africa CEO Forum Awards in Kigali, Rwanda, in recognition of his leadership and contributions to industrial development across the continent.

Receiving the continental honour in May, the BUA founder dedicated the award to his team rather than himself.

“Truly honoured to receive the Africa CEO of the Year Award. A recognition like this is never about one person. It reflects the hard work, dedication, and shared commitment of an exceptional team that continues to strive for excellence every day. Grateful for this honour and even more motivated to continue pushing boundaries, creating impact, and building for the future,” he had said.

The African champion of commerce, whose business interests span cement, foods, sugar, infrastructure and manufacturing, has also continued to gain international recognition for his growing business empire and philanthropy through the Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa), which supports health, education and social development projects across Africa.
