Flip Flop Senator Lanre Tejuosho Branded “A Liar”

Lanre Tejuosho, the senator who defected from the All Progressives Congress and made a rapid retrace of his steps back to the same fold has been branded a liar.

Attention of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Ogun State has been drawn to a misleading statement credited to Senator Lanre Tejuosho with quote “As Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, I am expected to hold meetings with the Local Government Chairmen in my constituency to discuss strategies and ways to attract development and improve the lives of our people. Few months ago, I invited them for such meetings and after the meeting, to my surprise, they were scolded by the party leadership and severely cautioned not to associate with me anymore. They reliably informed me that they had been threatened with suspension and must not be seen interacting with me in public.”

On record purpose, we would like to establish that the leadership of ALGON Ogun State was invited to by the Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial district for first meeting with him, after over 3 years in office as a senator without prior intimation on discussion of expected fulfill(ed) mandate given to him by good people of Ogun Central. ALGON members was very surprised to note that the senator has suddenly realized that he has obligations to liaise with his constituency for local development. We honored the invitation but, we were amazed as he only invited us to establish his interest to run for the 9th legislative house and earn our support. He was unable to give us account of stewardship of his office, so we told him the party and masses will navigate our direction. He left and never did invite us, communicate with neither the leadership of ALGON nor her member again.

We would not have like to join issue with the Senator Lanre Tejuoso on his present beset challenge turned fear for him, but for the fact that he gave false information to the public using our noble association to indict the Governor and stating that the meeting he had with the Chairmen of The Local Government is one of his major reason for defecting from the All Progressive Congress Party; “…party leaders threatening the Chairmen of ALGON for suspection…”, we categorically say that this is the Senator’s allusion with no iota of truth in it.

ALGON Ogun State expects a good legislative performance of him in the higher chamber, in interest of good people of Ogun Central people, loyalty of the senator to the party course as well as to the progressive Governor of whom the Senator rode on his network to emerge the position he is as a senator.

The ALGON Ogun State body attests that the foremost Governor is doing so much for so many people in Ogun state and plan-executing future legacies and we at ALGON Ogun State are solidly behind him as he continues in his good will of office.

ALGON Ogun State hereby dissociate herself from the statement credited to her by Senator Lanre Tejuosho that, the leadership of APC asked us to distance ourselves from him in public, rather the senator has been the one distancing himself from the Chairmen of Local Government and Local Council Development Areas in Ogun State as we believe he has no answer yet to the question we asked him when we met as concern his account of stewardship.

Our advice to Senator Lanre Tejuosho is for him to remember how he became the senator, consider his steps, do what is expected of him from the masses, apologize to the leadership of APC and as well as the good people of Ogun State for the embarrassment he caused the state by his actions nationally.

The public should please be guided accordingly.
