Ex NNPC Boss Maikanti Baru Dies At 60!

The former Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Maikanti Baru is dead.

He died last night – May 29, 2020 – at the age of 60 according to a disclosure made by his successor Mele Kyari on his verified twitter handle.

The current NNPC boss posted “My brother, my friend and my mentor, Dr Maikanti Kachalla Baru, immediate past GMD of NNPC died late last night. He was of exemplary character and disposition. May Allah forgive him and have mercy upon him, ” 

Information from other sources revealed Baru died at an Abuja hospital after a ” brief” illness.
