Former Speaker of Lagos state, Adeyemi Ikuforiji is now an Omo Onile.
Omo Onile is the local term for landowners in Lagos – and the southwest region.
Omo Onile literarily translates landowners, it is a Yoruba word.
Ikuforiji qualifies to be addressed by this term with his latest move in the real estate world.
Insiders disclosed to societynow.ng that Ikuforiji is now the owner of about 4 hectares of land in Ibeju- Lekki, Lagos state.
Societynowng.com learned the former speaker’s stake in the locality he made the purchase is such that the primary landowners in the area waiting on him for the development of the place.
Small portion buyers are being lured with talks good roads and related social amenities would soon spring up in the area once Ikuforiji start “work” on his land societynow.ng learned.
Though Ikuforiji is said to have fallen out of favour with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his political godfather, societynow.ng gathered the former Lagos speaker has found “grace” with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode as an unofficial consultant.
