Ex Gov Rotimi Amaechi, Others Confirmed Ministers As PDP Senators Stage Walk Out

In the face of multiple oppositions, former governor of Rivers state Rotimi Amaechi is now a Minister.

And this comes with a tail end drama as well.

Senators from opposition party PDP staged a walk out to show they do not support the move. Ex Gov Rotimi Amaechi The PDP senators were unhappy that one of the nominees it opposed and former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, was about to be confirmed.
The Senate had before the plenary gone into a closed-door session over the issue.

However, despite the walk-out, the Senate confirmed Amaechi and 17 others as ministers.

It also rejected the report of its Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, which considered the petition against Amaechi by a group known as the Integrity Group.
