Popular content creator and actor, Jabril Oladapo Gbadamosi, popularly known as Officer Woos, has denied allegations linking him to drug trafficking, describing the claims as “entirely false, fabricated, and without any basis whatsoever.”

The denial came through his lawyers, Versed Attorneys, who issued a statement on his behalf in response to what they described as a coordinated campaign of false and defamatory publications circulating online.

According to the legal representatives, anonymous social media accounts had circulated claims alleging that Officer Woos had been under arrest since 2025 in connection with drug trafficking allegations and that he had publicly announced the death of a close colleague on his official page.

However, the lawyers maintained that both claims were completely untrue.
“We hereby unequivocally state that both claims are entirely false, fabricated, and without any basis whatsoever,” the statement said.

The legal team further stated that their client had “never been arrested, investigated, charged, or in any way connected to allegations of drug trafficking, at any point in 2025 or at any other time.”

The statement also dismissed reports alleging that the actor had announced the death of any colleague, friend or associate on any of his platforms, insisting that such publications were deliberately manufactured to mislead the public and damage his reputation.

“Our client has never announced the death of any colleague, friend, or associate on any of his platforms. These publications are entirely manufactured and constitute a deliberate attempt to misinform the public and damage our client’s hard-earned reputation, brand, and professional standing,” the lawyers said.

Citing provisions of Nigerian law, the firm argued that the publication of false statements capable of injuring an individual’s reputation constitutes defamation and may attract both civil and criminal consequences.

The lawyers described the alleged fabrication of criminal allegations against a person without any factual basis as “a particularly egregious form of defamation capable of attracting substantial consequences under the law.”

They said Officer Woos had categorically rejected the allegations and demanded an immediate and unconditional retraction from all individuals, pages and platforms involved in publishing and circulating the claims.

The statement also demanded a public apology on the same platforms where the allegations were published, giving those responsible 48 hours to comply.

“Our Client further demands that a public apology be issued on the same platforms on which the defamatory statements were published, within forty-eight (48) hours from the date of this statement,” the lawyers stated.

Warning of impending legal action, the firm said it had received instructions from its client to pursue all available legal remedies against the original publishers and anyone who continues to publish, repost or amplify the allegations.

“We have the instructions of our Client to take all necessary legal actions, without further recourse to any party, against the original publishers of these statements and any individual, page, or platform that continues to publish, repost, or amplify these or similarly false and defamatory claims,” the statement added.

The lawyers urged members of the public and the media to disregard the allegations and rely only on verified information from their client’s official channels.
