Ladi Adebutu, the Gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) campaigned in Ogun West, the political base of Senator Solomon Adeola “Yayi” for the 2023 election on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
He campaigned in Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun West.
Lagos Senator Adeola is contesting the 2023 election as the Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ogun West.
He is a strong ally of re-election-seeking Governor Dapo Abiodun.
Adebutu is not only seeking to stop Abiodun from getting a second term, he is also keen to prevent Adeola from getting a strong foothold in the politics of Ogun state by scuttling his senatorial ambition.
Adebutu’s deputy governorship candidate, Adekunle Akinlade is from Ogun West.
As part of efforts to get the people in the area to his side, Adebutu made them an offer on Wednesday.
The gubernatorial candidate promised to set up a commission for border communities in the state if elected as Governor.
He also promised to ensure that the border communities get speedy and special attention of the Federal and state government going forward.

The gubernatorial candidate reportedly donated Transformer to improve electricity and gave assurances that he would “restore peace and economic stability as well as provide necessary infrastructure if elected”.
