Emerging details have it that Tunde, the son of Senate Bayo Osinowo better known as Pepperito or Pepper may emerge as his successor.

Osinowo who represented Lagos East in the Senate died on..after a brief battle with Covid-19,

His demise has thrown up many names as possible replacements at the Senate.

Insiders confirmed to societynow.ng that there is a strong push for Osinowo’s successor to come from his constituency, Kosofe for obvious reasons.

‘’The argument is that it would be a great injustice for the constituency for a replacement to come from elsewhere because it is Kosofe’s slot and Pepper had barely used a year out of the four years term’’ a source stated.

Societynow.ng gathered the political family of the late Senator Osinowo is making a stronger case of one of their own to take over the seat of their principal.

‘’That is why they are pushing Tunde, the late Senator’s son as a replacement for his father’’ Societynow.ng learned.

Information at hand revealed that Tunde is widely believed to be a chip off the old block  (his father) when it comes to politics.

‘’Though he manages his father businesses and has gained experience as an administrator over the years, Tunde is also considered an integral part of his father’s political family because nothing that goes on there is alien to him. He was extremely close to his father’’ a source stated.

Multiple sources affirm that should Tunde emerge the flag bearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress for the bye – election that will determine the next Senator to represent Lagos East, based on the strong hold of the party in the politics of Lagos State , then he is as good as considered his father’s successor – all things equally.
