A popular king has been floored by the chief he sacked 9 years ago.

The Supreme Court has returned James Bamidele as the Edomo of Ado Ekiti.

A decision that cancels the action taken by the popular king, the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Aejugbe in 2021.

Oba Adejugbe in 2012 sacked Aduloju as the Edemo of Ado Ekiti (Ekiti State) and installed another person Dayo Fajemilua.

The sack of Aduloju was reportedly the fallout of disagreement over landed property.

An aggrieved Aduloju had approached the Ekiti State High Court to regain his chieftaincy title with the case thrown out.

However, he took the case to the Supreme Court and won.

The Supreme Court in a judgment delivered on Friday, according to a report monitored by societynow.ng on dailypost.ng reversed the action of the Ewi of Ado Ekiti and returned Aduloju as the Edemo of Ado Ekiti.

The Supreme Court also restrained the Ewi from suspending or deposing the Ewi under any circumstances and ordered Fajemilua to stop parading himself as the Edemo as Ado Ekiti.
