Yakubu Abdullahi, a Federal House of Representatives member, has been suspended.

He has been suspended indefinitely by the Bauchi Emirate.

The federal lawmaker was suspended for disrespecting the Emir of Bauchi, Dr Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu.

Societynow.ng gathered that the suspension letter of the lawmaker who holds the traditional title of Wakilin Birnin Bauchi by the Emirate was dated May 16, 2021 and signed by Secretary Musa Maidala.

The letter which refers to the House of Representative members dressing at a recent event as offensive to the emirate, according to a report monitored by societynow.ng on thenationonlineng.net stated in part ““After thorough deliberation by the Emirate Council on your actions which are disrespectful to the Emir of Bauchi, Dr Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, you are hereby suspended as the Wakilin Birnin Bauchi indefinitely until further notice.”
