There are strong indications that political leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Ogun State, Olusegun Osoba has taken a firm decision on whether to help Governor of Ogun State Dapo Abiodun to get a second term in office or not.

Insiders disclosed to societynow.ng that Osoba has chosen not to make his decision public until it is time to determine the next Governor of Ogun state.

Societynow.ng, however, gathered that Osoba’s stand is obvious based on what he tells supporters that are angry Governor Abiodun has failed to appreciate the support that helped him to office.

‘’Remain calm, have patience 2023 is around the corner is what Osoba now tells his aggrieved supporters’’ Societynow.ng learned.

2023 is the year of another general election, including the one to determine the next Governor of Ogun State.

‘’Osoba’s statement is pregnant is with meaning and based on happenstances since Abiodun assumed office in 2019, the statement is interpreted to mean preparation for a change of guard. To support a candidate that will be more accommodating to become the next Governor of Ogun State.’’ a source stated.

Insiders disclosed that until recently, Osoba’s response to his angry supporters had been ‘’let’s be calm and give him a chance’’.

‘’I guess that was before he took the stand that resulted in 2023 is around the corner addition to it’’ a source stated.

The checks by societynow.ng revealed that Abiodun is accused of sideling politicians that helped him to office in the appointments into his government.

Insiders disclosed that the accusation is not from only the Osoba political family but every other caucus that helped him to power, except the Yayi group owned by Senator Adeola Olamilekan, the representative of Lagos State in the Senate with aspirations to become the Governor of Ogun State.

‘’Interestingly, all the other political families are more formidable individually and collectively than the Yayi group, even the Osoba caucus’’ a source insisted.

Societynow.ng learned that the Osoba political family is especially aggrieved because it formed the base of Governor Abiodun’s gubernatorial ambition and went all out to help him become the Governor of Ogun State.

‘’If indeed that is Osoba’s stand, and all things remain equal, D.A (Dapo Abiodun) may have kissed not only his second term ticket but that of other elective positions goodbye, because that is not only the foundation of his political strength but the main pillar. He doesn’t have any structure of his own and from what I hear the owners of other structures he relied on to become the Governor are not as committed to him as before and are plotting a replacement for his office by one of their own and don’t forget Amosun (former Governor Ibikunle Amosun and Abiodun’s most ferocious political enemy) is unrelenting in efforts to install his choice as Governor of Ogun State’’ Societynow.ng learned.
