Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) j in the February 25, 2023, presidential election is planning a special gubernatorial campaign in Lagos state.

Obi secured a shock victory in Lagos in the Presidential election.

The Labour Party presidential candidate beat President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with  582, 354 votes to 572,606 votes in Lagos.

Supporters of the Labour party and their sympathizers are hoping to leverage this win to greater victory in the March 11, 2023, gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections.

Obi is expected to stage a special campaign to boost the morale of those behind this push with his “newly found” political charm.

The date for the “special campaign” and the slant it will take are being figured.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is the APC gubernatorial candidate in Lagos while Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour is the LP gubernatorial flag bearer.
