The chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos State, Musiliu Akinsanya has thrown weight behind the political ambition of Kehinde Oloyede better known as Kendo.

Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo in making known his support declared that Kendo is the next Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government area.

Kendo is neck-deep in an underground campaign to succeed Bolaji Ariyo, the former personal assistant to powerful politician Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the chairman of Oshodi- Isolo local government.

Insiders disclosed that the former House of Representatives candidate sought the support of MC Oluomo to achieve his aim and got it.

‘’Since Oluomo gave his word to Kendo that he will support him, he has been telling all other aspirants, privately and publicly, that Kendo is the next chairman of Oshodi-Isolo” societynow.ng learned.

Sources disclosed that MC Oluomo publicly showed his support for Kendo by commissioning a community project – borehole – on put in place by the aspirant. And proclaimed he is supporting Kendo to take over the affairs of the local government area by the grace of God.

Stakeholders confirm that the NURTW chairman’s support is very significant for the political ambition of Kendo, who is a property merchant.

‘’Oluomo’s support to Kendo is a decider in who becomes the next chairman of Oshodi-Isolo. Aside from the fact of the army of support at Oluomo’s fingertip as chairman of the NURTW in Lagos state, the area of interest is his stronghold.’’ a source pointed out.

Oluomo’s support to Kendo dims the talks that outgoing Chairman Arijo is plotting to put another person in place as a successor in a clandestine move to extend his hold on the local government – after his two-term in office.
