Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Babatunde Raji Fashola has revealed what opposition political parties need to do to take power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next general election scheduled for 2023.

Fashola who is a chieftain of the ruling party asserted that “Our opposition parties ought to think better than us in order to defeat us.”

The former governor of Lagos state, however, insists that “Right now they are not doing that and I won’t teach them how to do it.” according to information monitored by societynow.ng on dailypost.ng.

Fashola who is in charge of the ministry of works made the assertions while addressing media men earlier today, Monday, November 23, 2020, in Abuja.

The information available to societynow.ng revealed that Fashola expresses optimism in his party’s chances of retaining power with the claims that “Some governors have joined us, from where we think we could not get voters before. To retain power in 2023, certainly if we keep our promises, people will vote for us. It is that simple, that is politics.”

The minister claims even if electoral promises are not kept 100 hundred percent, his party stands a good chance with people emphasizing that “If you do what you say you will do, even if you don’t do hundred percent and they see that you are making progress, they will even want you to finish what you started.”
