plans to convene an extended stakeholders’ strategic meeting
The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) plans to convene an extended stakeholders’ strategic meeting on Wednesday, February 11, as part of moves to strengthen internal party coordination.
The meeting is scheduled to hold at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Abeokuta, and is expected to bring together key power brokers within the party, including former governors and deputy governors, former speakers of the House of Assembly, serving and former members of the Federal Executive Council, the National Assembly and the Ogun State House of Assembly, as well as members of the State Executive Council and other major stakeholders of the party.
According to an invitation signed by the Ogun APC chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, the meeting will be presided over by Governor Dapo Abiodun.
The invitation described the gathering as an “Extended Stakeholders Strategic Meeting,” underscoring its importance to the party’s leadership and structure in the state.
Attendance at the meeting will be strictly controlled. Invited members have been directed to attend in party attire, with the invitation clearly stating: “All invited members are kindly requested to attend in party attire (Aso-ebi that was given to you). No Aso-Ebi, No Entry.”
The party further emphasised that “attendance is strictly by invitation,” signalling a closed-door engagement as top APC leaders and stakeholders prepare to meet under the leadership of the governor.
