Details: Friends, Church Members Plan Birthday Celebration For “Genesis” Popular Prophet Serving Jail Term

Emerging details have it that friends and church members of popular prophet Dele Ogundipe are planning a birthday celebration for him.

This is even though Ogundipe better known as Genesis is serving a two years imprisonment term – a year each for the counts he is found guilty of but to run concurrently.

Ogundipe was convicted on November 18, 2020, in a trial for romance fraud that spanned about thirteen years.

His effort to secure bail in December 2020 just before Christmas and days to the annual harvest of ministry, Genesis Global International, on health ground was rebuffed by the court.

Societynow.ng gathered that despite his absence, the Harvest witnessed a huge turnout.

His birthday on March 10 is said to be usually celebrated in a special way and friends and church members have vowed to stick to the custom despite the prophet’s travails.

A report monitored by societynow.ng on thenationonline.net revealed that invitation cards have been sent out as part of efforts to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet who turns 47.

“The invitation states that the event would be held in the church auditorium at Alakuko, Lagos” the report by thenationonline.net stated in part.

This development is part of initiatives by loyalists of Ogundipe, who is expected back home later this year portraying his travails as just one of those things in the journey of faith.
