Former Vice Presidential candidate Fola Adeola is one of the major powers behind a southwest Governor.
Adeola who was the Vice to Nuhu Ribadu on the joint ticket of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) for the 2011 Presidential election staking a lot to help Dapo Abiodun have a successful spell as the Governor of Ogun State.

Adeola who is one of the founders of Guaranty Trust Bank is also the initiator and power behind the life-changing FATE Foundation -“a non-governmental organization which aims to encourage entrepreneurship, using a mix of training, mentoring, loan support, and consulting to support young Nigerians.”
The information available to societynow.ng revealed that it was Adeola that convinced Tokunbo Talabi to put aside his billionaire status and take up the task of Secretary to the State Government in Ogun State.
“Talabi first refused the offer to serve in the Government of Governor Abiodun but the Governor took the matter to Fola Adeola who convinced Talabi to take up the offer with assurances of providing support to make things work” societynow.ng gathered.
Talabi, Abiodun, and Adeola developed personal rapports on different scales that predate involvement with politics.
Adeola is said to have discreetly deployed his resources in providing support to the Abiodun administration in enthroning good governance in Ogun State.
The Techhub, one of the Governor’s posters of well thought out projects is said to have one thing or the other to do with the former Bank as regards conceptualization.

Talabi has risen to become a very influential player in the administration of Governor Abiodun as he takes on more responsibilities with the increasing scope of governance.
Adeola the father of six is said to be intentionally silent about the support he is providing to Governor Abiodun, 61.
Societynow.ng gathered that Adeola who served as the Chief Executive Officer of Guaranty Trust Bank from 1990 (when it was founded) till 2002 (When he voluntarily retired and handed over to late partner Tayo Aderinokun) is one of the few people Governor Abiodun holds in very high esteem based on the value he has brought to bear.
