Governor Dapo Abiodun, 61, has created an opportunity for traditional rulers in Ogun state to have a bigger say in employment opportunities.

Societynow.ng gathered that this development is courtesy of the birth of a new business in Ogun State called Cycle.

Cycle is a bike hailing service that is about to take off in Ogun state.

The business model will see the use of cutting-edge technology by customers to get paid ride on the company’s motorcycles – with 150cc engine capacity – through a dedicated application.

The soon-to-be-launched application known as Cycler, which will be available on Google Play Store, allows the customers to see all the nearest “Cycle riders” and access their Whatsapp numbers.

The Cycle Bikes come with a 150cc engine capacity and a sun and rain-proof GPS monitor courtesy of MTN.

The monitor enables supervisors at the office to monitor the speed and locations of each bike at any point time.

“This will serve as major built-in security for customers and riders. The Bikes can be remotely controlled if they over-speed or demobilized if they are seen as going mapped out zones” societynow.ng learned.

The traditional rulers will have the chance to provide 30% of the workforce at any of the Cycle units in their domains.

“That is 30% employment opportunities are reserved for the locals but the names to be submitted by the paramount ruler of that area. The ratio is 15% male and 15% female “ societynow.ng learned.
