Details As Amosun Intensely Battles Backlash From Disgrace Suffered By Buhari, Osinbajo, Tinubu Others In Ogun State

Governor Ibikunle Amosun is facing a huge backlash from the disgrace suffered by President Muhammadu Buhari and other leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Ogun state yesterday – Monday, February 11 2019.

President Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and party leaders like Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, national chairman Adams Oshiomole and others were booed and stoned at the Presidential Flag off campaign held at the MKO Abiola Stadium.

The disgraceful episode which transpired at the state capital was the fallout of attempt by loyalists of Amosun to show that Dapo Abiodun, the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate is not popular in the state.

Governor Amosun is strongly against Abiodun taking over from him as the next governor of Ogun state.

Amosun is backing Adekunle Akinlade who defected from the APC to become the candidate of the Allied People’s Movement to become his successor.

Societynow.ng gathered that the booing and stoning of the APC party leaders were meant to shut up national chairman Oshiomole – a known political adversary of Amosun – from extolling the virtues of Abiodun as a gubernatorial candidate.

Other identified opposition to Amosun’s attempt to retain control of the party structure – and government – in Ogun state such as Tinubu and Osinbajo were also targeted but things went overboard as President Buhari got caught in the fray.

Sources disclosed that the development is now being used to outline his excessiveness about town.

Insiders further revealed that interestingly Amosun’s party men have now openly joined hands with the opposition to propagate ‘’don’t vote for him’’ message against the embattled governor.

Oseni is the senatorial candidate of Action Democratic Party(ADP).

Amosun is said to be currently mapping out a new strategy to battle what has befallen him barely three days to the career-defining election.
