Akinwunmi Ambode, the governor of Lagos state ends his one term tenure this month.

Ambode who fought but failed to get the ruling All Progressives Congress gubernatorial ticket in the bid to secure a second term in office hands over to Governor-Elect Babajide Sanwo-Olu on May 29, 2019.

The investigation conducted by societynow.ng revealed that despite claims of making up with the leadership of the ruling APC in Lagos and back in the grace of the decision makers, Ambode has refused to relax the security around his immediate family.

Ambode tightened the security measures around his family, especially his children in the thick of the ill-fated battle to secure a second term in office.

Checks revealed that the security operatives that watch over the children were increased from three to six.

And now with the election over, with his handover date drawing close information available revealed that Ambode has refused to relax the security consciousness around his family – particularly the children.
