It is true. The Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode has secured a life outside ‘’office’’.

Societynow.ng learned that indeed the outgoing Governor of Lagos state has been penciled down for a federal appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The investigation conducted by societynow.ng, however, revealed that a Ministerial appointment is not ‘’ directly on the cards’’.

‘’It is true, Ambode is actually been considered for a federal appointment but not for a ministerial position as at now’’ a deep source disclosed.

More investigation conducted by societynow.ng revealed that First Lady Aisha Buhari is actually the power behind Ambode securing what is obviously a much-needed lifeline after office.

The Lagos governor stepped on the toes of very influential politicians, including his godfather Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with certain daring decisions he took.

The development resulted in a messy fight which limited Ambode to a one-term in office as Governor of Lagos.

Ambode was doused in a backlash of reports of incompetence as the political machinery that helped him to power turned against him and effectively ruined his second term Ambition.

The digs by societynow.ng revealed that Ambode’s newfound backers – after the powerful forces led by Tinubu dumped him – leveraged on the ‘’perceived persecution’’ to secure the sympathy of Aisha Buhari.

‘’Sources disclosed Aisha helped Ambode to secure the access and confidence of the President’’ societynow.ng gathered.

The added information available has it that Ambode was able to maximize the access to interact with the President by taking major steps to ‘’ make peace’’ with other powerful players in Lagos state with access to the President, but also at odds with his estranged godfather, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
