Demola Adeleke Dumps APC For PDP To Contest Against Mudasiru Hussein, Gov Rauf Aregbesola’s Choice In Battle For Osun West Senatorial Seat

Emerging details have it that Demola, the younger brother of Isiaka Adeleke has dumped the All Progressives Congress.

Sources claimed he has joined the People’s Democratic Party in his bid to inherit his brother’s senatorial seat.

Elder brother Isiaka Adeleke was the occupier of the Osun West Senatorial seat until his untimely death.

Demola had sought to take over his brother’s position on the platform of All Progressives Congress.

But intense opposition from Governor of Osun state Rauf Aregebsola who has a preffered candidate of his own has forced him out of the party.

Aregbesola is backing his commissioner, Mudasiru Hussein to clinch the party ticket.

But he faced stiff opposition from forces backing Demola Adeleke from out of the state.

The political intrigues that raged the process saw Aregbesola’s candidate disqualified and his appeal rejected before the governor mustered all his influences and clout to get him readmitted after forcing a shift in the primary election.

But twenty four hours to the finally battle to determine who clinches the APC ticket via shadow election- rescheduled for today-, sources confirm Demola has opted out of the party.

He has joined rival People’s Democratic Party yesterday by picking the nomination form for the party’s primary.

Insiders disclose the plot is to return him unopposed as the PDP’s candidate.

A development that sets up what promises to be a fire cracker of political fight between the PDP and APC in battle to determine who occupies the vacant Osun West Senatorial Seat.
