He attributes this development to the loss of a very influential loyalist.
The loyalist is Pa Fohun Abiola, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun Central Central district.
Ogun Central senatorial district is political base of former Governor Ibikunle Amosun.
Amosun and Abiodun are friends turned foes engulfed in intense supremacy battle within the same party- APC.
The late Pa Fohun Abiola is one of the key political players that handed the control of the APC in Amosun’s political base to Abiodun.
In mourning the death of the influential political player, Abiodun wrote “Pa Fohun Abiola will be greatly missed not only for his fatherly role to all but also for the invaluable and impeccable leadership he gave in our great party, the All Progressives Congress – APC, as well as in his immediate and larger community.”
