The underground moves by Central Bank deputy governor, Bayo Adelabu to position himself as likely successor of Oyo state helmsman, Abiola Ajimobi has hit rough weather.

Information filtering to societynowng revealed that the grandson of late powerful politician and bearer of unusual moniker – Penkelemess (a derivative from local pronunciation of the words peculiar mess) is currently at logger heads with one of the families that serve as pillar of support for his ambition.

According to information sourced from online platform papermache, the top banker and some members of the family of late factor in

oyo state, Aare Arisekola Alao are currently engulfed in a running battle.

Before his demise, Aare Arisekola Alao is defined as mentor to Bayo Adelabu.

Independent digs by societynowng revealed that it was actually the late islamic leader that mooted the idea of Adelabu becoming the governor of Oyo state.

The idea was to leverage on his family heritage and clout of the late Arisekola Alao to execute the agenda.

The underground move had kick started with the Central Bank top shot advised to embrace the locals and establish businesses and projects that will portray him as a major stakeholder in his environment.

Informal meetings with other stakeholders likely to be sympathetic to their cause were also being perfected before the death of the late Aare Musulumi.

The idea is to position Adelabu as a credible gubernatorial candidate to take reins of power in 2019.

An agenda the protégé is said to have continued with after the death of his mentor.

Fresh information from papermache however revealed Adelabu and the successors of his mentors are at odds.

The news spotter attribute the development to Adelabu’s shunning of overtures to help out with issues that cropped up after the death of his mentor.

According to the report the CBN deputy governor reportedly sent a reply that reads ‘‘I got to the height of my career thru the help of no one else than God, pls get lost!’ to a message from one of the Arisekola’s telling him not to betray the memory of his mentor by refusing to help his children and family after benefiting soo much when the islamic leader was alive.

Findings revealed the ‘pls, get lost’ reply is now being used to blacklist him amongst supporters of the late Aare Musulumi and beyond.

‘the implication of this for him politically is grave…let’s not go into the nifty gritty, let’s just say it threatens all the work done so far to achieve his aim’ a source analysed.

However the impact of the raging conflict remain unclear – even as insiders insist, talks of the ‘get lost’ message with different colouration continue to grow.
