The much awaited cinematic debut of The Audrey Silva Company (TASC), The Meeting hits cinemas across the country on Friday November 23, the producers have revealed.

The company also said that stars in the movie would be at different cinemas where the movie is showing all through the first three days.

Mildred Okwo, Managing Director at TASC and Director of The movie explained that the company is now satisfied with the quality of the production, the main reason why the theatrical release was suspended after the hugely successful premiere on October 19, 2012.

It would be recalled that both President Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo sent high power delegations to the premiere which held at the Oriental Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos. Okwo informed that every effort has been put into seeing that The Meeting is presented to Nigerians with highest possible quality of sound and pictures.

Silverbird Distribution Limited will distribute the movie, which has been described as an “ambitious and amazing movie which is a worthy representative of the new Nollywood” by award winning novelist and poet, Toni Kan

Kan in a review published in a number of Nigerian newspapers further said of The Meeting: “The Meeting is in many ways a reflection of Nigeria. While the Minister’s “Waiting Room” redefines the term waiting room, it is on a larger scale symptomatic of Nigeria where red tape and officialdom have left us stuck in stasis.

The film delivers a sucker punch when Ejura says to Makinde; “How did you think you could close a deal in Abuja in one day with a government minister?”The Meeting is the kind of movie that makes us laugh just so it can stop us from crying…The cast of characters is a Casting Director’s wet dream and Mildred Okwo employs them to devastating effect. But the beauty of it all is that the Director manages to elevate this movie which is touted as a romantic comedy far beyond the normal Nollywood farce which passes for comedy.
