Buhari Seeks Soft Landing For Ambode As Asiwaju & Co Insist “No Deal” In Fierce Lagos Guber Fight

Emerging details have it that National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole is exploring ways to provide a soft landing for troubled Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode.

Oshiomhole is reportedly acting the script of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Ambode faces outright rejection in his re-election bid by multiple organs and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos state.

Multiple sources confirmed with his slanderous world press conference on Sunday, September 30, 2018, Ambode further wiped up opposition against own attempt at retaining party ticket.

The Governor had impugned on the integrity of Sanwoolu and made very grave and personal allegations against the man being ferociously backed by many to become the next governor of Lagos state.

But the Governor appears to have found a new lease of life in the battle he is believed to have lost, even before it started.

Societynow.ng learned some interests within the presidency are pushing for Ambode to be retained as party candidate even in the face of strong opposition within the Lagos APC and the Lagos State House of Assembly already officially backing Sanwoolu as the next Governor.

Societynow.ng learned that move to retain Ambode as “Party Candidate” appears part of raging plan to “take away” Tinubu’s power as the chief political factor in Lagos state.

Insiders, however, insist that the die is already cast and the case beyond salvation for Ambode.

“Ambode’s damning world Press conference and Tinubu’s release of a statement endorsing Sanwoolu has revealed the case is an open and shut case. Ambode’s fate is sealed because Tinubu has never done that and for the political leader to do that, it means the situation is now a do or die for him” a source asserted to societynow.ng.

Insiders revealed that the election panel set up by the National Body of the All Progressives Congress to monitor tomorrow’s gubernatorial primary in Lagos is already in town.
