BUA Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu Reaffirms Commitment To Humanity In Touching Tribute To His Father, Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu
“Our memories of you remain vivid, priceless, and are deeply rooted in our hearts.”
Seven years after the passing of Khalifa Sheikh Isyaku Rabiu, one of Nigeria’s most respected Islamic scholars and businessmen, his son—Abdul Samad Rabiu, Chairman of BUA Group—has penned an emotional tribute that speaks to the enduring power of a father’s legacy.
In a statement titled “My Dear Khalifa” and dated May 8, 2025, Abdul Samad reflected on the lasting impact of his father’s life of devotion, service, and humility. “It has been seven years, yet it feels like yesterday since you departed,” he wrote. “Our memories of you remain vivid, priceless, and are deeply rooted in our hearts.”

Describing his father as a selfless leader and devout Muslim, Abdul Samad paid tribute to the influence of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu’s teachings, which continue to shape the Rabiu family and inspire countless others. “Through your life of service, you inspired countless others to embrace kindness, humility, and compassion,” he said.
Khalifa Rabiu, a towering figure in Nigeria’s religious and business landscape, left behind not only a thriving commercial legacy but also a spiritual foundation that continues to echo across generations.
His dedication to the propagation of Islam, charitable works, and ethical living deeply influenced his son, who has followed in his philanthropic footsteps through the Abdul Samad Rabiu Initiative (ASR Africa) and other charitable platforms.

In his tribute, Abdul Samad pledged to uphold his father’s values through continued service to humanity: “We will remain steadfast in our commitment to selfless service. We will continue to support noble causes and charitable undertakings that reflect the values you lived by, regardless of race, gender, or background.”
The tribute concluded with a heartfelt prayer: “May the Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, keep granting you Al Jannah Firdaus. May your soul continue to rest in the eternal peace and light of His divine presence.”
Signed “For the Family,” the statement from Abdul Samad Rabiu is more than a son’s remembrance—it is a reaffirmation of legacy, one built on faith, service, and the enduring example of a father who lived for others.
