Black Market Petrol Hit N350, N400 Per Litre As Fuel Stations Sell At N250 Pump Price

The market survey carried out by societynow on Christmas day revealed that in parts of Lagos and Ogun state, black market petrol hit N350 and N4500 per litre.

And many petrol stations pegged their pump price between N200 and N250 per litre.

A larger percentage of the fuel stations remain shut down.

And just a fraction of those who operated dispensed at N145 per litre.

“They were far and wide in between” societynow learned.

Checks revealed those who sold at the unofficial price of N200 and N250 per litre sold for “just a couple of hours before locking up shop”.

Virtually all the roads were devoid of traffic, except areas where those who queue for fuel had taken over portions causing slow vehicular movements.
