Bimbo Ashiru Talks About Gov Amosun As He Resigns From Govt To Pursue Ogun Guber Ambition

Bimbo Ashiru, the commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Investment in Ogun state has resigned his appointment.

Societynow.ng leaned Ashiru made the move to focus on the objective of becoming the next Governor of Ogun state.

Ashiru is one of the leading aspirants in the race to become the gubernatorial candidate of his party, the All Progressives Congress.

Governor Ibikunle Amosun just announced the emergence of a “consensus” candidate.

But Ashiru appears undeterred in his move to achieve his gubernatorial ambition.

“That’s why he resigned to go and vie for the party ticket” a source stated.

Ashiru, however, insists he remains good friend with Governor Amosun.

“Governor Amosun remains my friend and brother. There is no conflict between us” Ashiru stated in a chat with societynow.ng.

Ashiru and Amosun were friends before they began the political journey that put them in charge of the government of Ogun state.

Digs by societynow.ng revealed that Ashiru has nursed the ambition of becoming the Governor of Ogun state for as long as many can remember.

“But as a top player in the banking sector, he couldn’t make much noise about it. But it is not unknown to those familiar with him and some major players in and out of the political circle of Ogun state” societynow.ng learned.

Ashiru was a Director at a highly rated financial institution, IBTC Chartered Bank.
