Bayelsa Gov Duoye Diri Releases 8 New Covid-19 Guidelines For Churches

The Bayelsa State government has released 8 new guidelines for churches as the fight against Covid-19 rages on.

The rules drawn up by Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State after a meeting with Christian leaders read

1. All mid- week church activities in Bayelsa State remain suspended.

2.All Home Cells to stop forthwith.

3. All Churches must provide hand sanitisers, soap and water for hand washing at all entrances.

4. Social distancing of at least 2 metres be observed in sitting arrangements.

5. All worshippers must wear face masks.

6. All church services should hold between 7am and 1pm on Sunday.

7. All Church leaders to join in the fight against Covid-19.

8. All churches sealed for contravening the Covid-19 guidelines have been unsealed.
