The world tallest drums, the initiative of the Ogun state ministry of culture and tourism are on parade abroad.
According to information available to societynow, the two drums that stand at 16 and 17 feet are earmarked to be on parade at different museums in the United States of America from next month – September 2016.

According to details available an international partner – private – made the arrangement and secured approval to export the ‘’major projects’’.

The drums are said to be already out of the shores of the country in preparation for the showcase here and there abroad.

Societynowng.com learnt Commissioner Muyiwa Oladipo and his crew are keeping the development under wraps until it is well under way before breaking the news- along with images.

Sources disclosed the parade of the ‘’nation’s cultural pride’’ is expected to last some two months abroad.

More details have it that the facilitator of the export of the nation’s culture abroad was a partner in the staging of the much reported drums festival held in Ogun state.

Officially labelled the ‘’Nigeria Drums Festival’’ the events which attracted diplomats, traditional rulers and stakeholders in tourism and culture from all walks of life -home and abroad -was staged between Tuesday April 19 to Friday April 22, 2016.

According to a witness ‘’’drums from different parts of the country were on parade and only locally made musical instruments were used, it was absolute parade of the nation’s culture and it was electrifying’’

Investigations by societynowng.com however revealed the success of the event 4day event which has now transformed a major cultural export and brand enhancement for the nation wasn’t a smooth ailing for the initiator, Commissioner Muyiwa Oladipo and his crew.

‘’the hurdles that needed to be crossed to stage the drums festival is story for another day…but i tell you they were quite herculean but we thank God it was a success and the gains are still coming in with the export of the Tallest Drums abroad to be show cased in museums, that is a big one..a huge boost of national pride and confidence’’ an insider declared.

The Nigerian Drums Festival according to available information is planned to be an annual happenstance.
