Minister for Interior Rauf Aregbesola has revealed how Nigerian youths can hugely boost the nation’s economy.

The former Governor of Osun state made the revelation in his appreciation speech after his induction into the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria “Hall Of Fame”.

Yesterday, I was inducted into the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria ‘Hall of Fame’, as “Garkuwan Matasan Najeriya”, meaning ‘Shield of the Nigerian Youth’. National President of the organization, Dr. Isah Abubakar, decorated me alongside the Executive Vice President of the organization in my office.

In response to the gesture, I thanked the organization for considering my service and finding me worthy of such recognition. I salute the strength of the Nigerian Youth and their ability to recognize the need for mentorship and leaders to be modeled after.

I advised that the Nigerian Youth must focus on VALUE CREATION. If 60m Nigerian youths can create a value of N100,000 monthly, that is N6Trillion Monthly and N72Trillion Annually. This way, we would be able to PERMANENTLY banish poverty in our land.

As a member of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet, we would continue to create the enabling environment for productivity and creativity to thrive as the Nigerian youth possess the capacity to turn around the fortune of our country and the entire black race.
