Aregbesola Accused Of Wasting State Resources As 5 Senior Govt Officials Fiercely Campaign To Become Party’s Guber Candidate

Not less than five senior officials of the Osun State Government wants to succeed Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

And they retain their employment in the midst of intense campaign to secure party ticket.

Societnow.ng gathered some of the most visible are the Chief of Staff Gboyega Oyetola, the commissioner for finance Bola Oyebamiji, the Secretary to the State Government Moshood Adeoti, Chairman of Local Government Service Commission Peter Babablola, Adelere Oriolowo and others.

Though the Governor is said to be seriously backing Oyetola to emerge the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress candidate in Osun state, societynow.ng gathered the other aspirants are unrelenting in their campaign.

“And they remain in office with access to public funds” is said to be the growing agitation against this development.

And the Governor is said to be receiving hard knocks for this in and out of his political party.

The Osun state APC gubernatorial primary election is scheduled for Saturday, July 7, 2018 – though there are talks of possible shift at the instance of Governor Aregbesola – but the agitation over alleged waste of public funds with the gubernatorial aspirants retaining their employment is snowballing out of control.

“This is more so, because the state is perceived as distressed with civil servants owe months of backlog of salaries …it’s really a shame” a source stated.

The oppositions are said to be latching onto the “development” to campaign against the party ahead of the September 22 Gubernatorial election.
