APC Gambles With Two Guber Candidates In Osun Guber

By omission or commission, the All Progressives Congress political structure in Osun state is backing two candidates for the Osun State Gubernatorial election.

Societynow.ng confirmed that the APC structure is backing both Gboyega Oyetola – Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s half-brother – and Moshood Adeoti, the former Secretary to the Osun State Government.

Oyetola is the flag bearer for the All Progressives Congress while Adeoti holds the guber ticket of the Action Democratic Party.

Adeoti defected from the APC to pursue his gubernatorial ambition in the ADP over lack of confidence in the process that produced Oyetola.

Societynow.ng digs have now uncovered the powers behind Adeoti’s defection from the APC to ADP.

Information available revealed interest against those of Governor Aregbesola and Asiwaju Tinubu who are the major influence behind Oyetola’s gubernatorial ambition – within the APC -gave wings to Adeoti’s dumping of the party.

The former SSG’s main backers are said to be out of the state.

“They operate at the national level of the party with a couple of foot soldiers in the state” societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed the group of individuals informally known as “the APC Abuja crowd” are said to be funding Adeoti ‘s gubernatorial move.

A keen follower of political happenings in Osun state analyzed the development “whatever motive resulted in Adeoti becoming a candidate of the ADP is beside the point, the reality on the ground is that party is backing two different candidates in the coming gubernatorial election”.
