Increasing numbers of the supporters of late politician Kashamu Buruji are taking a hard stance against Ladi Adebutu, the popular gubernatorial aspirant.

They do not want to have anything to do with the son of wealthy lottery king Kessington Adebutu.

Insiders disclosed that this development is in the face of underground overtures from political leaders in Ogun State to absorb the intimating political structure of Kashamu who died of complications from Covid-19 on Saturday, August 8, 2020.

Insiders disclosed while the PDP is keen to keep the intimidating political structures of Kashamu within its fold, political leaders from other parties are already luring the leaders of the group known as ‘’Omo Ilu’’ (son of the soil or Natives).

Societynow.ng gathered that the sentiments against Adebutu soared during the burial of Kashamu on Sunday, August 9, 2020, when a video of the gubernatorial hopeful wishing death on the deceased trended.

‘’There were lots of curses as many of kashamu’s supporters tie the events together and attribute things beyond the normal’’ societynow.ng learned.

Multiple sources disclosed that this development added to the fact that Kashamu and Adebutu engaged in a very bitter feud for the control of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State has strengthened opposition against the son of gubernatorial hopeful.

Growing numbers of Kashamu’s supporters have picked up the gauntlet of their principal’s till death- do- us – apart enmity with Adebutu.

And they are insisting that the political structure should not have anything to do with Adebutu but rather against him.

Adebutu and Kashamu fought a messy fight for the control of the People’s Democratic Party in Ogun State.

The fight that involved allegations of threats to life and arson and resulted in arrest and trial of supporters culminated in the expulsion of Kashamu from the PDP by the National Working Committee of the party and denial of Adebutu as the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in Ogun state in the last general election based on a court ruling that affirmed Kashamu as the legally recognized flag bearer of the party.

Until his death, the Kashamu was one of the biggest spenders in the politics of Ogu State and retained the control of the PDP in Ogun State against the relentless onslaught from Adebutu and his team.
