Ex Governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan is further pushed out of the inner caucus of out of jail power broker, James Ibori.

His offence? Rather than give credibility to the convict by publicly identifying with him now that he is out of jail – Uduaghan is trying to be a ”do good”.

Immediately convicted for corruption charge, former Governor James Ibori regained his freedom from United Kingdom prison, seating Senator Peter Nwaoboshi led an ”army of sympathisers” to pay homage for the freed political heavy weight.

That visit opened the flood gate of several others and public adulations trying to rewrite the prosecution of Ibori to persecution.
The visits opened up an alarming disclosures revealing, even while in prison Ibori remained a major determinant of national decisions.

Against the background of the fact that Ibori made a nonsense of the nation’s judicial system, before he pleaded guilty and was sentenced in the United Kingdom for offences he was acquitted for back home, the recent hailing and adulation by his sympathisers and supporters kicked off an uproar in the national space.james ibori

A quiet move for revisit of iIbori’s acquittal for ”national interest” was mooted in the corridors of power.

And perphaps seeing the handwriting on the wall regarding where it would all lead to if the visits and adulations that keeps Ibori on the lips of many continue, Uduaghan issued a public concern to all supporters and sympathisers of his ”godfather” to desist in their antics.

”But their is a problem, Uduaghan is no more a member of the Ibori inner caucus and is action is now seen as mere do good effort” a source stated.

Findings revealed Uduaghan who rode to power as Governor of Delta state on the wings of strong political clout of James Ibori found himself at the other side of the political divide with his ”benefactor” when it came to choosing his successor.

”Uduaghan worked against the interest of Ibori..he didn’t want the who eventually succeeded him, and gave his all to ensure Okowa didn’t the pick the party ticket but failed. Okowa backed by the clout of Ibori emerged winner but Uduaghan was smart enough to fall in line and joined hands for Okowa win the general election” a source stated.

But the damage was already done.
Insiders claim, since then Uduaghan’s rapport with Ibori and the inner caucus had remained strained.

”Part of the result of that was the villification he suffered immediately Okowa assumed power” another source claimed.

Insiders claim, it is based on this background that his ”advice” to Ibori’s sympathisers and supporters to stop celebrating visits to thee out of jail former governor is being labelled ”mere do good attempt”.
Informants claim this advice is being seen as a move to seek the ”good face” of Ibori.

”They think he is trying to colour good deeds of others in order to become close ot Ibori again” a source claim.

Insiders alleged the unfavorable slant Uduaghan’s advice is getting in the Ibori camp has further alienated him from the inner caucus – and the out of jail politician.

”He is being portrayed as not wanting to soil his good name by identifying and giving credibility to Ibori like Senator Nwaoboshi and others dared and this is certainly not helping his case with them” a source explained.

And fighting the narratives against him Uduaghan in his new year message on social media posted ”Happy New Year. It is my sincere prayer that God will give us the ‘common sense’ to know when our utterances, and or our actions, can push our ‘loved’ ones over the cliff.”
