Amosun’s Man Drops Court Case Challenging Abiodun As APC Guber Candidate

Biyi Otegbeye a very strong ally of Senator Ibikunle Amosun has dropped his court case challenging Governor Dapo Abiodun as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 election.

Otegbeye discontinued the court case before Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo at the Federal High Court on the premise of seeking remedy elsewhere according to information monitored by SocietyNow.Ng on DailyPost.Ng.

With the counsel to the defendant maintaining an unopposed stance but pushing for the award of cost, the court subsequently dismissed the suit and awarded a cost of N100,000 against Otegbeye.

In the court case instituted against the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) as the first defendant, All Progressives Congress (APC) as the second defendant and Dapo Abiodun as the third defendant, Otegbeye was represented in the case by Wale Taiwo (SAN) and Yemi Oke while Damilola Akinduro stood for INEC, Kehinde Ogunwunmiju (SAN) and Tunde Ahmed Adejumo represented APC while Taiwo Osipitan represented Governor Abiodun the report further revealed.

Otegbeye is widely labeled as the preferred choice of Amosun who is openly against the re-election bid of Governor Abiodun.

Otegbeye, Amosun and Abiodun are all members of the APC.

Amosun and Abiodun are engulfed in a fierce battle for the control of APC in Ogun state with the Governor maintaining the upper hand at press time.
