Akpabio Says Resident Doctors Have Canceled Protests

Senate President, Godswill Akpabio says the Resident Doctors have shelved their planned nationwide strike.

Akpabio disclosed the development is the outcome of a meeting the Senate leadership had with the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD).

“We had very serious discussions on their demands. They promised to cancel their planned public protest today, while we work towards addressing their demands.”, Akpabio stated in a social media post that reads…

They promised to cancel their planned public protest today, while we work towards addressing their demands. They also assured the Senate of their readiness to call off their two weeks old strike in the next 48hrs in the interest of the suffering masses.”
