Access, UBA, Skye, Spring Lead Banks With ‘Inoperative’ A.T.M Machines During Easter Break

The Easter break and celebrations certainly wasn’t happy for some thanks to the ineffectiveness of the alternate means of payment, A.T.M machines of the banks they chose to identify with.

Investigations conducted by www.societynowng.com revealed that a large percentage of the Automatic Teller Machine of most financial institutions stopped paying out money as early as the evening of Thursday April 21 2011. The holiday break began on Friday April 22and lasted till Monday April 25 2011. During this period a lot of families were left cash strapped with the constant ‘temporarily out of service ‘ banner on the A.T.M machines. And naturally with the bank’s closed during the break no alternative means of payment to resort to.

Topping the list of financial institutions that left the customers frustrated at the cash point according to www.societynowng.com investigations are Access Bank, U.B.A (United Bank For Africa), Intercontinental Bank, and Skye Bank. the others in the list are Fin Bank, Spring Bank, Fidelity Bank, First Bank and Diamond Bank.

www.societynow ng.com investigations focused on Lagos metropolis – with additional reports from other sources out of the state revealed that most of the affected bank officials attribute the development to ‘network problems’ when aggrieved customers contacted them.

The words circulating among embittered clients that threatened all sorts at the default A.T.M points however alleged attempts to conserve cash by banks affected.
