Ardent loyalists of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu are certainly not happy with President Muhammadu Buhari.

The President just dealt the heavyweight politician a devastating blow.

President Buhari hosted and praised re-elected Governor of Edo State Godwin Obaseki.

Tinubu’s loyalists see this as a big ‘’political sacrilege’’ against their patron.

This is the face of Obaseki’s heap of abuse on Tinubu and widely trumpeted claim the former Governor of Lagos state and his man Friday, Adams Oshiomhole is a threat to democracy.

Oshiomhole and Tinubu joined forces to stop the re-election of Obaseki who defected from their party, the All Progressives Congress in the midst of a fierce fight to the rival People’s Democratic Party as the governor of Edo state.

Obaseki emerged winner with a shockingly wide margin against Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress promoted by Oshiomhole.

Obaseki’s victory is laced with allegations of support from powerful figures in the APC who worked against Ize-Iyamu the candidate of their party as part of efforts to get at Tinubu and Oshiomhole.

The victory gave Obaseki leverage to hit back at Tinubu including a call for his defeat as a godfather,

President Buhari who is yet to meet with Oshiomhole and Tinubu who went all out in an attempt to get a victory for APC in the Edo gubernatorial election met with Obaseki and was full of praises for the governor.

Societynow.ng gathered that this development has resulted in a lot of agitation and restlessness in the camp of Tinubu.

The checks by societynow.ng revealed that it has resulted in an emerging criticism of the President’s handling of the party and government.
