…as he mortgage all his life work in major move against government of the day
Brand handlers believed Innocent Idibia the musician widely known as Tuface has already achieved a huge ‘’success’’ with his planned protest against bad government.

The planned a nationwide protest earmarked for Sunday February 5 2017 is already a national topic – along with the aims and objectives.

The event scheduled to kick off at the National Stadium, Surulere Lagos by 8.00am has gained such traction that the Presidency has been officially forced to react.

‘’That is a huge one…what is the essence of the protest? To create awareness for bad government which is splintered into
itemised ills and already the protest and it’s general objective is the most discussed topic in Nigeria for days now..so the consciousness he wants to spark off with the protest is already on’’ a brand analyst explained.

And insisted the protest proper is just a formality.

Colleagues of the singer and friends in and out of the entertainment world have signified intention to be a part of the protest.

Governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose a voracious member of opposition party has also made intention to be a part of the event known.

While some hail his move, the Singer has also attracted attacks from different quarters, including allegations of acting out the script of the opposition.

He is particularly accused of being sponsored by former governor now turned Senate Minority leader Goodswill Akpabio –  a member of the People’s Democratic Party like Gov Fayose.

President Muhammadu Buhari is at the helms of affairs of the nation on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

But those very close to Tuface insist ‘’he is too honest with his intentions to be sponsored by Akpabio or any politician’’

‘’Forget it, I know too face he won’t ever do that. He is passionate about Nigeria and he is risking all his life work out of patriotism’’ a very close friend stated.

Tuface remains the longest reigning pop king in Nigeria, a position he attained through toll and blood of over twenty years – and is mortgaging in this major move against the government of the day.

Those who should know claimed contrary to assertions by his attackers the nation’s pop king did not receive a ‘’kobo’’ from any politician for campaign or endorsement in the build up to the last general election.

‘’am sure of that’’ a source asserted.

And the defence for the automobiles and trip abroad wedding gifts the singer enjoyed from Senator Akpabio when the later was the governor of Akwa Ibom state?

‘’Akpabio is known to be generous and Tuface isn’t the only person that enjoyed that kind of a gift and that was a different clime’’ an associate stated.

For the records, here are the objectives of the planned Sunday, February 5 protest by the singer.

1) Security

According to the Constitution, ‘the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government.’

2) Education

To develop beyond oil, we have to invest in our human capital. Every child must have access to quality education. If our teachers are not paid, how will we raise the next generation to lead the country and run our businesses?

3) Health

Health is wealth. People die daily from lack of basic, affordable health care. We can definitely do better.

4) Power

Government needs to make it easier to generate power at the state and local government level so everything is not tied to the center. We need electricity to be productive. The cost of generating our own power is crippling.

5) Unemployment

Poor education plus a struggling economy means a lot of people are unemployed. Unemployed people are hungry and angry.

6) High cost of living

Food, transportation, medicine, everything is three times, four times more expensive but our salaries haven’t increased. What do we do???

7) Social Justice

According to the Constitution, ‘The Federal Republic of Nigeria shall be a State based on the principles of democracy and social justice.’

There cannot be one set of rules for the poor and another set for the rich.

8) Transparency

The best way to kill corruption is to increase transparency. Government finances and contracts must be open and available to all. Who got the money, to do what and by when?

9) Cost of government

Our governance is TOO expensive – federal, state, local – cars, housing, allowances. We must reduce the cost of maintaining our public officials

10) Patriotism

I stand with Nigeria. There is enough in Nigeria for all of us to ‘chop belleful’. Enough is enough. We must put Nigeria first and keep all the greedy & selfish people away from leadership.
