Wole Oke, the long-serving federal lawmaker from Osun State, appears to be recalibrating his political playbook.

Once famous for taking public swipes at his rivals on social media, the Oriade/Obokun representative has adopted a quieter, more measured tone in recent months.

Oke, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) earlier in the year, previously turned his online platforms into a battlefield for political sparring—often targeting former allies in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s camp.

His fiery posts routinely sparked debate across Osun’s political circles and beyond.

That phase now seems to be over. Checks show that since July 28, 2025—when he last shared a video defending his long stay in the National Assembly since 2003, save for a break between 2011 and 2015—Oke has avoided partisan exchanges online.

What first appeared to be a brief break has evolved into a deliberate shift in tone and approach. In place of fiery commentaries, his social media pages now feature photos from official duties and travels, suggesting a conscious effort to project composure and focus.

Political observers believe the move could be part of a broader rebranding effort as Oke positions himself for future relevance within the APC hierarchy.

Whether this new strategy will translate into renewed political capital remains to be seen—but for now, the once-vocal lawmaker seems intent on letting silence speak louder than his old jabs.
