Tears, tears and tears…ocean of tears it was as Olugbemiga Abiodun, the son of rich man Dapo Abiodun and associate of musician Davido (David Adeleke)  was laid to rest.

It was emotional, it was heart-wrenching sources claim.

Friends and family fought extremely hard for self-control and few could restrain selves.

Popularly called D.J Olu, the deceased was found dead along with a friend Chime Amaechi in his car, parked in the garage of his car.
The circumstances of the death have since sparked off a frenzy of speculation the Abiodun family was forced to issue a public plea for ‘’privacy to grieve’’, while the Amaechi family came out to debunk all charges trailing the ‘’mysterious death’’.

But all the talks and speculations were shoved aside from Wednesday, October 11 when Olu’s burial rites began with a service of songs.

The event which took place at Olaniwun Ajayi Gardens, Banana Island was reportedly very emotional.

With Waterbrooker church choir on hand to render touching hymns, friends and family took turns to speak about the deceased- his father and mother.

And the consensus of opinion was that Olu deserves to continue living.

‘’He was kind. He was a helper. He was a listener. He was supportive. He was full of zeal. He was an ‘’elder brother’’ to his elder brother. He was always smiling. He was ready to attain all his dreams. He would be missed.’’ Where words used to describe him turn by turn by speakers who talked about him between tears.

According to information sourced from pulseng his father stated ‘’ ” We were very close. I remember I would report Olu to my mother and she would say a tree doesn’t fall from a tree. I saw him for the last time last week Sunday when we had lunch, Olu was always wanting to please me.
“He was supposed to go back to Coventry last week for his postgraduate school but he begged me to allow him to stay for just one week because he wanted to commission his petrol station and car wash business.
“I begged him to go to school promising him that I would help do everything while he was away but he refused. If he had gone back to school, he wouldn’t have died. I pray that I don’t have to reciprocate this kind of visit to anyone present here” said DJ Olu’s father at the service of songs’’

Like all other speakers, the politician and oil baron fought hard for self-control.

His wife and mother of deceased, Bidemi says a part of her has been shattered by the death, but she would continue to stay strong
Davido, Mayorkun, Tomi Thomas, Asa Asika and Naeto C were some of the friends and known names who turned out for the service of songs.
