Obanikoro Puts Together Campaign Team For Senatorial Ambition

To show a seriousness of purpose, Musiliu Obanikoro has virtually put together the campaign team to help him actualize his Lagos West Senatorial Ambition.

Insiders disclosed he is dotting the “I”s and “T”s of his of arrangement concerning the team that would launch the campaign which would kick start in his mother’s village in Ojo.

The former minister who just defected from the People’s Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress in a move that silences talks of his corruption charges intends to leverage on the credibility of his mother’s family name and fame – Ajayi Bembe – to kick off his campaign.

The former Senator who represented Lagos Central in his last time out at the Senate is said to be at the point of contracting entertainers and related influencers to join his campaign train for a fee.

Talks in the political circle indicate Obanikoro securing the ticket of the APC is a given.

He is said to have perfected the deal as one of his terms of negotiation in defecting from the APC to the PDP with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu – the political decision maker of Lagos.

“And based on the stronghold APC has on Lagos state his clinching the senatorial position is largely guaranteed” a source pointed.

A peep into Obanikoro’s campaign plans reveal despite the political advantage of his new party’s hold on the politics of the state, he intends to unleash a voracious campaign that would portray him as “the candidate” in the upcoming senatorial contest.
