Ladi Adebutu Falls Out With Gbenga Daniel, Takes Full Control Of Ogun PDP

Information filtering in has it that gubernatorial aspirant Ladi Adebutu and former governor Gbenga Daniel are not as comfortable with each other as they used to be.

There is said to be a falling out between the two chieftains of the People’s Democratic Party.

And the discord is said to have root in “acquisition of political power”.

Adebutu is said to be doing all in his power to ensure his gubernatorial ambition is secured.

He is putting structure in place in to ensure he emerges the People’s Democratic Party candidate in Ogun state sources confirm.

And steps he is taking to actualize his agenda has put him at odds with political leader Daniel.

One of Adebutu’s antics is said to be reaching to increase his stake at the national level of the party.

This is after he has installed his arch loyalist Sikirulai Ogundele as state chairman of the party and other supporters in strategic positions.

The gubernatorial aspirant is the chief financier of PDP in Ogun state after edging out Kashamu Buruji with the influence of Ex-Governor Daniel.

To achieve his desire of increased clout at the national level, insiders disclosed Adebutu sponsored the emergence of Elder Yemi Akinwonmi to the position of Deputy National Chairman (South) of the PDP at the just concluded National Convention.

He sided with interests directly against the emergence of Daniel emerging as National Chairman in achieving this objective.

Sources disclosed the fallout of Adebutu’s pact with the other side forced Daniel to abandon the dream of achieving his ambition on Election Day.

There was said to be an arrangement in place for delegates from his state to vote against him based on Adebutu’s deal with the “other side”.

The PDP’s convention sealed Adebutu’s hold on the party structure in Ogun state and increased influence at the national level, but at a cost – he is now at odds with another influential party man in his state, Gbenga Daniel.

Sources, however, disclosed an avowed party man, the former governor has chosen not to make a “fuss” out of the matter in the open.

And ordered his supporters to maintain the same posture.
