Gov Rauf Aregbesola’s Men In Cold War As Mudasiru Hussein’s Emergence As Senatorial Candidate Collapses Speaker Najeem Salaam’s Guber Ambition!

The success recorded by Governor of Osun state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in ensuring his choice emerged party candidate in the contest to determine the successor of late Senator Isiaka Adeleke has sparked off another major problem for him.

His men are currently embroiled in a raging cold war threatening the bond of loyalty highly required for political successes.

The emergence of Mudasiru Hussein as the All Progressives Congress candidate for the upcoming July 8 Osun West Senatorial bye election is said to have effectively collapsed the gubernatorial ambition of Speaker of Osun state House of Assembly Najeem Salaam.

Salaam and Hussein are from the same political district.

And should Hussein transform Senator by winning the upcoming election, Salaam automatically forgoes his gubernatorial ambition.

“The gubernatorial seat would be zoned to another seat…it is the way things are done, a part of political ploy to attain wide spread political support by giving all areas a chance to contest for something tangible and win…even if Hussein doesn’t his emergence as party candidate has already put the speaker’s gubernatorial ambition in jeopardy, especially within the party’’ a source analysed.

And the speaker not too long ago touted as the man preferred by Governor Aregbesola to succeed him is said not to be happy with this development- along with his supporters.

The Salaam camp’s sentiments about the situation is said to have seeped into that of Hussein and sparked off speculations of possible sabotage as different interpretations are give and versions retold as the talks spread about town.

Currently a conflict of sort is said to have taken hold of the two camps as they engage in a cat and mouse affair, though in the same political party and drawing strenght from the same power source, Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
