House of Faith delivers a landmark moment for Nigerian entertainment with a star-studded launch event and the world premiere of original film Love and Porridge

It was the kind of evening that reminds you why Lagos remains the undisputed capital of African entertainment. On Friday, 27 February 2026, at a high-profile launch event held at Eko Hotels & Suites, faith-based entertainment organisation, House of Faith announced the global availability of FaithStream, Africa’s first international faith-based streaming platform.

Among those who graced the event were Kate Henshaw, Shawn Faqua, Stan Nze, Fisayo Fosudo, and Wendy Lawal, alongside faith leaders, content creators, media personalities, and strategic partners gathered to witness what many are calling a watershed moment in the history of African media.

The FaithStream mobile application is now live and available for free download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, launching with over 135 titles and more than 1,700 hours of programming.

The content includes feature films, scripted and unscripted series, documentaries, and audio content, all purpose-built to reflect the faith, culture, and values of African Christians at home and in the diaspora.

For Nollywood audiences who have long felt the tension between quality entertainment and their faith, FaithStream’s arrival feels overdue.

With over 100 million Christians in Nigeria alone, the demand for content that does not require viewers to choose between a compelling story and their convictions has been palpable for years.

“We are curating a movement,” said Kunle Falodun, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of House of Faith, whose career has taken him from senior roles at Sony Pictures Television and Kwese Media to founding what he describes as a calling rather than a company.

“Through FaithStream, we are intentionally addressing the challenges facing African Christians in the entertainment world. We are creating a trusted sanctuary of faith-affirming content for Africans at home and in the diaspora,” he stated.

Among the evening’s most anticipated moments was the world premiere screening of Love and Porridge, FaithStream’s debut original production, presented to the Lagos audience with the film’s cast and crew in attendance.

The screening was preceded by a content slate presentation which provided a glimpse into the pipeline of original productions House of Faith has in development.

The platform’s technology drew equal attention. Co-founder and Chief Product Officer Hakeem Condotti walked guests through FaithStream’s mobile-first architecture, designed for African connectivity realities, including offline download capabilities, adaptive streaming, and multi-device compatibility.
The platform is free to all users, supported entirely by donations and grants, a model the Co-founders describe as “serving the soul first.”
“Our goal is to help African faith voices reach young people where they already are – online, on mobile, embedded within popular culture,” Condotti told guests.

The Lagos launch featured two events: a Founders Brunch in the morning for strategic partners and donors, and an evening cocktail reception for media and entertainment industry figures.

Both events included live performances, a podcast discussion on the future of faith-based media, and a digital unveil of the FaithStream platform.

According to the Pew Research Center, over 700 million Christians live across Sub-Saharan Africa and the diaspora. Yet, there exists a limited number of high-quality faith-based content sources for these audiences, compared to an abundance of secular global streaming content options. House of Faith was built to close that gap.

Beyond streaming, House of Faith is building production studios across Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa, pan-African television distribution, a publishing arm, and live events programming.

The non-profit organisation projects the creation of more than 13,000 jobs across Africa’s creative economy over the next decade.
