The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied declaring Emmanuel Olusegun Ogunyannwo wanted.
The commission, in a statement by its Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, on Wednesday, described a social media publication claiming that Ogunyannwo was wanted by the EFCC as fictitious and contrived.

According to the statement, Ogunyannwo’s name is not on the commission’s wanted list.

“The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, wishes to disclaim a WANTED publication made by some faceless and unscrupulous elements in the social media that Emmanuel Olusegun Ogunyannwo was declared WANTED by the Commission,” the statement said.

The EFCC urged members of the public to disregard the publication, stressing that Ogunyannwo had not been declared wanted by the commission.
